Havelock North, New Zealand
Conceived as a “farmstead” in the middle of an immaculate estate vineyard, the utilitarian structures are clustered around a secure courtyard. The buildings include an equipment shed with an enclosed sprayer pad, a large fermentation room directly over two underground cellars, an office wing with employees lockers, showers and a kitchen-lunchroom shared with an adjacent apartment. A small tasting room and adjoining terrace are oriented to afford views down the vineyard rows.
